CertaDNS

Dot · Beta

Answers about your email security, in plain language.

Dot is the assistant built into the CertaDNS dashboard. Ask about SPF, DKIM, DMARC, DNS or anything in CertaDNS, and get an answer with a link to the page it came from.

Invitation-only Beta · Appears in your dashboard when it is enabled for your account

What Dot does today

Chat

Ask how SPF, DKIM and DMARC work, what a record means, why legitimate mail can fail, or where something is in the dashboard.

Dot answers from CertaDNS's own guides, Knowledge Base and Academy, and shows the pages it used so you can read further.

Included on every Email Authentication plan, including Free.

Support

Product questions — plans, prices, limits, setup steps — answered only from CertaDNS's documentation, with the source linked.

When the documentation doesn't cover it, or it needs a person — billing, refunds, account access — Dot drafts a message to our support team. You review and edit it, and nothing is sent until you send it.

Included on every Email Authentication plan, including Free.

Coming later in the Beta

These are not available yet. They will be included with Email Authentication Plus and above, or with Dynamic DNS Pro.

Dot Insights

Coming

Dot Insights will show you changes in your DMARC reports as they happen: new senders using your domain, falling pass rates, and spoofing attempts — each explained in plain language.

Dot Policy

Coming

Dot Policy will show where each of your domains stands on the path to DMARC enforcement, and what is holding it back — based on CertaDNS's own readiness checks of your report data, not a guess.

What Dot will not do

Dot cannot change anything

It cannot publish, edit or delete DNS records or change settings. When a change is needed, Dot explains it and tells you where in the dashboard to make it yourself.

Dot cannot see your account yet

In this release Dot does not read your domains, records or reports. It explains how things work and where to look. Answers about your own domains come in a later Beta release.

Dot never handles secrets

It has no access to passwords, API keys, two-factor codes or private keys, and will not ask for them. If you paste one into a conversation, rotate it.

Your conversations are yours

Conversations are saved to your account so you can come back to them, and you can delete any of them. To answer, your messages are processed by the AI model that powers Dot.

Questions

How do I get Dot?

Dot is in an invitation-only Beta. When it is enabled for your account, a Dot button appears in the corner of your dashboard.

Can Dot be wrong?

Yes. Dot links the CertaDNS page each answer comes from so you can check it, and it says when it is not sure. For anything important, read the linked page.

Does Dot replace CertaDNS support?

No. Dot answers what our documentation covers and hands anything else to our support team, with a draft message you review before sending.

Does Dot cost extra?

No. Chat and Support are included on every Email Authentication plan, including Free, with a daily message allowance that grows with your plan.
